TOUR NOTES
Auckland is so much more than its stunning scenery and great food. Discover tucked-away treasures most visitors miss (and few locals know about) on this Auckland art walk set against the backdrop of a cosmopolitan city.
Wander down hidden lanes as your local guide reveals where creativity abounds, through every brush stroke, stencil, shape and colour. Gaze up, down, and all around while learning the stories behind beloved sculptures and murals. Inspired by Maori history, Pasifika heritage and colonial themes, there are more than 400 public artworks to discover across greater Tamaki Makaurau Auckland!
New Zealand artists are internationally recognized for their originality, a function of the country's beauty and remoteness. This leisurely private Auckland walking tour will open your eyes to the bounty of local creative talent, so walk this way and see for yourself!
The tour concludes at a bustling downtown bar with the first drink on us.
We're the art-loving guides keen to shine a light on the creatives who brighten up our city. A donation from each tour will be made to the Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust, which provides life-changing music therapy to children with disabilities.
COST: From NZD$79 per person (min 6 pax booking required)
HOW TO BOOK: This is a private tour on request. Please contact us here and include your contact details, the desired tour date and number of participants.
BRING: Proof of booking, walking shoes, a sunhat, sunscreen, rain jacket and bottled water.
ACCESSIBILITY: A light to reasonable level of fitness is required. The tour is around 2km long including steps. Any questions please Contact us here
DEPARTURE: 2pm from outside the Auckland Town Hall entrance on Queen Street. Please arrive 5 minutes prior. We leave on time.
LOOK FOR: Your guide will be carrying an Aucky Walky bag and wearing a smile.
BAD WEATHER? Aucky Walky tours rain or shine. All part of the fun. We will postpone or cancel and refund if severe weather is forecast.
REFUND POLICY? We understand travel plans change. If you need to postpone, we will try to book you onto another tour date. However cancelations made within 2 days (48 hours) of the tour or no shows will not be refunded. See our Terms & Conditions here.
